Rice Park powered by Xcel Energy

Capital City Partnership formed a successful public/private partnership with the City of Saint Paul to transform St. Paul's historic Rice Park into a Rockefeller Center-style setting for the holiday season. From Thanksgiving through New Year's Eve, the heart of downtown St. Paul will become an enchanting winter wonderland. The magical downtown experience captures the spirit of the holiday season for all who work, live, and visit the Capital City.

A Christmas tree as tall and bright as the iconic Rockefeller Center tree in New York City will be featured in Rice Park. The downtown experience will be enhanced with special holiday décor and white twinkling lights on the trees.

Rice Park powered by Xcel Energy helps create vitality, establish downtown St. Paul as a holiday destination, complements performances at the Ordway Center for the Performing Arts and Wells Fargo WinterSkate at Landmark Plaza, and completes the vision of the world famous Rockefeller Center in Minnesota's Capital City.

Summers in St. Paul

Each year, Capital City Partnership produces a summer initiative project. In 2007, Capital City Partnership partnered with the Science Museum of Minnesota on "Diggin' Dinos," a dinosaur statue promotion, celebrating the museum's 100th Anniversary.

In 2006, Capital City Partnership lead efforts in partnership with the Saint Paul RiverCentre Convention and Visitors Authority (RCVA), the City of Saint Paul, the Science Museum of Minnesota, and Xcel Energy Center to create the "Summer in the City" promotion, which was designed to cross-promote attractions and drive visitor traffic throughout downtown St. Paul.

In the past, Capital City Partnership produced the "Peanuts on Parade" statue promotion, a 5-year tribute to Charles M. Schulz.

ICapital City Partnership creates events that drive visitors to St. Paul, including Taste of Minnesota on Harriet Island and Wells Fargo WinterSkate in Landmark Plaza, which will be complemented by a dazzling holiday display and activities in beautiful Rice Park.
